Christchurch is very proud to host the Hot Springs T20 Black Clash.
As we have heard, this is a unique event that will bring together many of New Zealand’s biggest cricket & rugby superstars in one place at one time.
And given that many of the nation’s stars are from the Canterbury region, the sporting capital of NZ, it is only fitting that the Hot Springs T20 Black Clash is hosted right here at Christchurch’s iconic Hagley Oval.
It’s clearly going to be a wonderful chance for the people of this region to connect with some of this country’s sporting heroes and finest role models. And it’s going to be a great opportunity to showcase Christchurch. On a beautiful sunny day, as we have today, we can see this oval has to be one of the best in the world.
I’m particularly looking forward to the rugby players showing what they can do with a bat and ball.
